“She realized there were people who believed in her potential and wanted to see her succeed.”

Lina, Jenny’s mother

I want to thank Educaid for being there to answer all my questions. I didn’t know Educaid, and I’m extremely relieved to see there are still people who believe in our youth. When my daughter learnt she had been selected for a perseverance scholarship, her attitude changed for the better. She realized there were people who believed in her potential and wanted to see her succeed. When she was in Secondary 2, my daughter told me she planned to drop out of school at 16. Since she received her scholarship, she has been talking about going to university, and even has her mind set on the field of kinesiology…for now. The scholarship truly motivated her, and I wish to personally thank Educaid for helping not only my daughter, but lots of other teenagers too. Once again, thank you!

“The scholarship from Educaid helps him a lot financially and in his day-to-day.”

Sylvie, vice-principal

Harvey is a student with ASD who progresses well academically. The scholarship from Educaid helps him a lot financially and in his day-to-day, since he is an orphan living with his older brother. He’s evolving really well in a regular program. He follows the enriched math/science curriculum and is well appreciated of his teachers. Harvey is very proud of his Educaid scholarship.

“He attends school and got a job.”

Karine, vice-principal

Guillaume is about to finish Secondary 3. He attends school and got a job in a convenience store that allows him to work without missing school. He wants to finish high school and then follow vocational training to become a wildlife protection officer. He treated himself to some nice clothes with the scholarship money and is very proud of it. He says: “I won’t do anything reckless so I don’t lose my scholarship!” He still has a lot to do at home, but seems comfortable with that.

“This scholarship pushed me to surpass myself.”

Ève, class of 2009

I feel very lucky to have received a scholarship. I was able to pay for many prom-related expenses with the scholarship this year. Plus, I was able to invest in new sports clothes. This scholarship pushed me to surpass myself. I am finishing high school this year, and will be pursuing an arts, literature and communication program in Cegep next year. Thank you for supporting me.

“It mostly helps us surpass ourselves, believe in ourselves and gives us hope.”

Mohamad, class of 2008

Knowing that students struggling with difficulties can be rewarded is awesome! It’s more than money, it’s a message. Determined students don’t always get the encouragements they need, so this scholarship helps a lot, for sure. But most of all, it helps us surpass ourselves, believe in ourselves and gives us hope.

“Kevin is proud of what he achieved and is very grateful.”

Sylvie, School entourage

Kevin kept his motivation throughout the year even though he was repeating Secondary 3. He worked hard and it looks like he’ll be moving on to Secondary 4 next year. With the scholarship, he was able to buy winter sports gear; afford the school supplies he was missing; and even go on the outdoor field trip in March. Kevin is proud of what he achieved and is very grateful.

“This scholarship is a great reward for him. It allowed him to pay for his school trip at the end of the year.”

Philippe, Principal

Contrary to past years, Assil practically never misses school anymore. He attends classes, goes to evening tutoring and takes after-class lessons with his teachers. He makes enormous efforts to succeed. At home, he frequently has to take care of his siblings when his parents are away, so he’s under a lot of pressure with his homework. He’s got a lot of responsibilities to deal with but, in spite of all this, he keeps persevering and stays in school. This scholarship is a great reward for him. It allowed him to pay for his school trip at the end of the year.

“He exemplifies perseverance, both in life and at school.”

Pier-Luc, School entourage

Roch lives in a group home. Thanks to this scholarship, he can participate in the various activities offered under the “international” profile and dress appropriately for these activities. He’s adorable and the living proof of academic perseverance, because his parents cannot take care of him. His only wish is not to leave his group home so he can complete his education with us. He exemplifies perseverance, both in life and at school.

“The assistance given to me was much appreciated and spent wisely.”

Marie-Louise, Class of 2011

I personally want to thank you for your generosity, your love and for helping me with my new school year. With your donation, I was able to buy books, pencils, nice clothes and much more. It is with great pride that I use these items in my academic progress. The assistance given to me was much appreciated and spent wisely. I think it’s great you help the people who need it the most because it’s not always easy to stay in school under certain conditions. Many people drop out because they simply can’t afford to go on. Kudos to all of you! Thank you for everything and keep up the good work. I, for my part, will pursue my studies because I love it. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2009. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
